Surveys • a company sample can also draw companies typed under Other
A company sample draws, for each respondent, the companies that respondent is asked about on later pages, from the companies they picked on an earlier question. Until now it drew only from the companies listed on that question, so a respondent who used a company that was not on the list, and wrote it under Other, was never asked about it. A company sample can now also draw the companies a respondent typed under Other. They only fill places left after the listed companies have been drawn, so they never replace a listed company, and answers such as Don't know or None are skipped. The setting is a checkbox in the dialog that adds a function in the survey builder, and the survey's list of functions shows when it is on. It is off by default, and a survey where it has not been turned on draws exactly as before.

Companies • linking a typed company now counts every response that named it
Names respondents type under Other wait in the review queue on the Companies page until they are approved as a new company or linked to an existing one with Link. Approving a name as a new company already counted every response that had named it. Link counted only the responses that had also rated the company on a later page, so a respondent who typed a company and rated nothing about it was not counted as naming the company it was linked to. Link now counts every response that named the typed company, the same way Approve as new does. This applies to names linked from now on. Names linked before this change keep what they were counted as.

Privacy • the address a survey response is started from is kept for 90 days
SRVY now keeps the IP address each survey response was started from, stored with that response, solely so that duplicate or abusive submissions can be investigated, such as one person answering the same survey many times. It is not used to block anyone automatically. The address is deleted 90 days after the response was started, it is never shown in any report, analysis or export, and responses started before this change carry no address. The privacy policy now says this in all four languages, its last updated date is 24 October 2026, and its section on responses is titled Confidential responses rather than Anonymous responses. The completion page now says a response is recorded and treated confidentially, rather than that it is anonymous, and the email sign-up text no longer calls the responses anonymous either: the email is still stored separately from the answers and never linked to them. The methodology document moves to version 1.15, where section 2.2 describes the same.

Surveys • a finished response can no longer be restarted with the Back button
A respondent who had reached the end of a survey, either completed or screened out, could go back in the browser to their own response's address and land on the survey's front page, where Start began a brand new response. A screened-out panel respondent could therefore start again, answer the screening question differently and complete the survey, while the provider had already recorded them as screened out. The guard added on 2026-10-19 against a panel respondent taking a survey twice did not see this path, because the new response no longer carried the panel respondent id. Opening the address of a finished response now returns the respondent to the ending they already reached: a completed respondent to the completion page and a screened-out respondent to the screenout page, the provider's pages for a panel respondent and SRVY's own otherwise. A response still in progress resumes as before. Responses already collected are unchanged.

Dashboard • the started responses figure is now labelled as such
On the admin dashboard, the overview card beside Completed responses was labelled Responses, which reads as submitted responses. It counts every response started in the period, including those abandoned and those screened out, which is why it was always higher than the completed figure. It is now labelled Started responses. Both figures count exactly what they counted before.

Surveys • a company typed under Other that is already on the list is ticked instead
On a question that lists the participating companies, a respondent can also write a company under Other. When the name written there was a company already shown in the list, it was kept as a new name for review rather than as an answer for that company, so the company never received the answer and the review queue gained a duplicate. Such a name now counts as a tick for the listed company: the company is ticked, the Other field is emptied, and the respondent sees a short note in the survey's language saying the company was already on the list and has been ticked. The same rule is applied when the page is submitted. A name matches when it is the company's display name, its registered name or one of its known alternative names, regardless of capital letters and spacing. A name that two listed companies share is kept as written, and a name that is not on the list still goes to review as before. Responses already collected are unchanged.

Companies • a name typed under Other that is not a company can now be ignored
Names respondents type under Other wait in the review queue on the Companies page until they are approved as a new company or linked to an existing one. Some are not companies at all, such as a word like many, and until now there was no way to clear them. Each name in the queue now has an Ignore button beside Approve as new and Link. An ignored name leaves the review queue and the survey's own list of suggested companies, and nothing the respondent wrote is discarded: the answer keeps the text as typed. If the same name is written again later it stays ignored, while a different name goes to review as usual. A name that respondents have already rated as a company cannot be ignored and has to be linked instead. The controls in each row of the queue are also spaced apart now, rather than sitting edge to edge.

Surveys • a question can carry a help text under it
A question in a survey can now carry a short help text, shown to respondents directly under the question, for example an instruction on how to choose among the options. It is written in the question dialog of the survey builder, both when a question is added and when it is edited, and the survey's question list shows it as a short note. The help text belongs to this survey's use of the question, not to the question in the Question Library, so the same question in another survey is unaffected. It is written in the survey's primary language and shows only on pages in that language, so an instruction never appears untranslated on a page in another language. Publishing a survey freezes its help texts along with its questions, so a later edit to the draft never reaches the published survey. Questions without a help text look exactly as before.

Surveys • the page Preview is now on a published survey's Questions tab too
While a survey is a draft, the survey builder offers a Preview link on each page, which opens that page in the live preview so it can be checked the way a respondent sees it. Once a survey was published, its Questions tab switched to a read-only view of the published questions, and that view had no Preview link. It now has the same link on each page, opening the published version of that page. Nothing about the published survey changes.

Surveys • panel links in the live preview now hand off to the provider
An external panel sends respondents to a survey with its own link, and at the end of the survey each respondent is handed back to the provider: to its completion page, its screenout page, or its quota-full page. The live preview used to stop at SRVY's own thank-you and screenout pages instead, so the round trip to the provider could not be tested before a survey went out. A panel link opened in the live preview now ends the same way as the live link: it hands off to the provider's completion or screenout page, and to the quota-full page once the real quota has been reached. The External panel card on the survey also shows the test version of the respondent link, directly below the live one. Test runs in the live preview still never count as responses and never use up the quota, and the same panel respondent id can be reused there for repeated tests.

Surveys • questions added with Add collection keep their required setting
In the survey builder, Add collection adds every question in a Question Library collection to a survey at once. A question the collection marked as required looked required in the builder, but on the survey page it carried no required marker, could be left unanswered and never showed an error. Questions added with Add collection now carry their required setting through to the survey page, the same way a question added on its own always has. This applies to questions added from now on. Separately, the email sign-up form on the completion page now shows the survey's own error message, in the survey's language, when the address is not valid or consent is not given, instead of the browser's own warning in the browser's language. Responses already collected are unchanged.

Surveys • survey pages in Swedish and Danish no longer mix in English
Survey pages are shown in the survey's language, and a text that is missing in that language falls back to English. Swedish lacked eight of the texts the survey pages use and Danish seven, among them the Other companies label, the screenout page, the notice for an invitation link that is no longer available, and the texts for confirming or leaving an email subscription. All of them are now translated, so a survey run in Swedish or Danish shows no English. No survey currently runs in either language, so nothing changes on a live survey today.

Surveys • a panel respondent can no longer take the same survey twice
An external panel sends each respondent to a survey with the provider's own respondent id in the link. Until now, opening that link again could start a fresh response. A respondent who had been screened out could come back and answer the screening question differently, and a respondent who had already completed could answer a second time, counting twice and sending the provider a second completion. A panel respondent id that already has a response on the survey now returns to the outcome it already reached: a completed respondent goes straight to the provider's completion page, a screened-out respondent to the screenout page, and a respondent who had not finished resumes their own response where they left off. This holds in a new browser as well as in the one first used, and a returning respondent is given their own outcome even after the panel quota has been reached, rather than the quota-full page. Responses already collected are unchanged.

Surveys • test runs in the live preview no longer count as responses
Opening a survey in its live preview and answering it creates a test session, and a few places on the admin side still treated those sessions as real responses. The Responses tab counted and listed them, including in its arrival figures and its entry-route filter, and the Analyse tab's interview-length table timed completed test runs alongside real interviews, so a few quick tests could pull the median down. Both now leave preview sessions out. A company name typed under Other during a preview also no longer becomes a pending company or an entry in the review queue, because a name typed in a test is not a suggestion. Picking an existing company from the type-ahead list in the preview still works as before, so the follow-up questions about that company can still be tested. Scores, figures and benchmarks in Insight never included preview sessions and are unchanged.

Insight • a year figure now shows whenever it clears the publication floor
The Insight portal withheld a year figure in one more case than the publication floor requires, and that rule is now retired. When every response behind a year also sat inside the current rolling twelve-month window, and the window held fewer additional responses than the floor, the year was withheld even when it cleared the floor comfortably on its own. A company whose latest survey closed recently could therefore find its newest year missing from the year views and its score chart broken at that year, until the older responses left the window. A year figure now shows whenever it clears the floor itself, on the Score page, in the score chart, and in the Public lens preview on the admin side. This reverses one sentence of the 2026-08-21 entry announcing the portal, which said a year figure is withheld when comparing it with the current figure would reveal a small group of new responses by subtraction. That trade-off is now accepted openly: where a year sits inside the current window, comparing the year figure with the current figure can reveal the average score of the few responses that are in the window but not in the year. That average comes from the company's own respondents and says nothing about who gave the answers, and it stops being derivable as soon as the window holds only the year's own responses. The floor itself, the current figures, the rules for the breakdowns by sector and company size, and the Market and Gruppe references are unchanged.

Surveys • None of the above now comes before Other, and both can be chosen
On a choice question that offers both None of the above and Other, respondents now see the listed options first, then None of the above, then Other with its text field. On a multiple choice question, None of the above now excludes only the listed options. Other stays available beside it, because none of the listed options but something else is a real answer, and the text written under Other is kept with it. Picking None of the above still clears and locks the listed options, and the same rule is enforced when the page is submitted, so an answer can never combine None of the above with a listed option. This changes two things described in the entries of 2026-07-23: Other used to sit ahead of None of the above, and None of the above used to lock Other along with the rest. Questions that offer only one of the two behave as before, and answers already given are unchanged.

Companies • the Public lens now draws the customer's own score chart
The Public lens on a company's Scores tab is a preview of what the customer sees, and its year cards already came from the customer's own computation. The score chart above them did not. It was drawn from the administrative series, so on the Public lens it could draw a year point that the customer's chart withholds, and its hover card printed the number of responses on a lens that states response counts are not shown. The chart on the Public lens is now built from the same computation as the chart on the customer's Score page, so it withholds the same points and carries no response counts. Where a company has no customer view, the Public lens draws no chart rather than falling back to the administrative one. The Administrative lens is unchanged, and nothing a customer sees changed with this fix.

Analytics • responses to a continuous survey now count in the year figures
A survey can run continuously, with no edition year of its own. Its responses were already counted in the current rolling figures, but they belonged to no year: the year views on the Score tab, the list of years, the year breakdowns by sector and company size, and the yearly Gruppe and Marked references never saw them. Every completed response now belongs to a year. A dated survey keeps the year it declares, exactly as before. A response to a continuous survey belongs to the calendar year of the day it was submitted, which is the same day the current rolling figures already count it under, so the current figure and the year figure can never disagree about which day a response belongs to. The survey itself is unchanged and keeps running. A survey still contributes only to the questions it actually asks, so a figure a survey never collects gets nothing from it. No published figure moves with this update: no continuous-survey response had been completed when it shipped, and the stored year figures were recomputed under the new rule and matched the previous ones row for row.

Surveys • a response from an external panel is recorded as that, whichever provider ran the panel
How a respondent entered a survey is recorded on the response: the general link, a company link, an invitation, or an external panel. Until now the last of these carried the name of the panel provider rather than the mechanism, and the imported panel waves from earlier years carried three different spellings of it, two of which the Analyse tab's interview-length table and the Responses tab showed as a raw word instead of a label. Every response that came through a panel is now recorded as an external-panel response, and those places read Eksternt panel for all of them. In the survey builder, a routing rule that tests how the respondent entered now offers the four entry mechanisms as a list with their names, general link, company link, external panel provider and invitation, in place of a text field, so nobody needs to know or type an internal value, and the saved rule is shown with the same name. A panel link that is already in use keeps working exactly as before, and the link the builder generates is unchanged. No figure moves with this update: the change is one classification word on the stored responses, and every stored answer, company attribution, base, metric, ranking and year figure was measured identical before and after.

Surveys • a survey link on a country domain keeps its language
A link on srvy.no, srvy.se or srvy.dk is redirected to srvy.app with the country's language added. A link that already carried a language, which every survey page has once the respondent is past the front page, was given the language a second time and ended on a not-found page, so a resume link or a bookmarked survey page opened from a country domain did not work. The redirect now keeps the language the link carries and adds the country's language only to a link that has none. A link in another language stays in that language, the visitor's link decides, not the domain. Nothing stored was touched, and a link opened on srvy.app directly was never affected.

Surveys • a page with nothing to answer no longer stops the respondent
A survey page that a respondent submitted validly without any answer, because every question on it was optional, or every question was hidden by an earlier answer, or the companies it asked about had all been ruled out on an earlier page, was served again on every submit. The respondent could not reach the next page and could not finish, while every answer already given stayed safely stored. Such a page is now passed on a valid submit like any other. A page the survey can already tell has nothing answerable on it, from the answers given so far, is skipped without being shown at all, and any routing rule that page carries is applied exactly as a blank submit of it would have applied it. Response counts, the Responses tab and the Analyse tab treat a passed page as what it is, a page with no answers, never as answers.

Surveys • a blank rating is no longer counted as an answer
An end-to-end check of the respondent flow against the stored responses found three things to correct. A rating question a respondent left unanswered had been recorded as a don't know answer, so the Analyse tab and the response detail showed an answer nobody gave and counted it in the number of respondents. It is now recorded as what it was, no answer, and the figures on the Analyse tab count only the ratings that were actually given. A rating is now stored only when it lies within the question's own scale, and the not applicable choice is offered on a rating exactly when the question allows it, as the Question Library defines. In the survey builder, a page can no longer be given an analytics part name the survey engine would refuse at collection time, so a page cannot publish in a form its respondents could not submit. No published figure moves with this update: the correction concerns live collection, and no live survey was fielding a rating question when it shipped.

Scores • the scores table keeps its columns apart on a phone
On a narrow screen the scores table gave every numeric column its fixed width and left the metric column whatever remained, which on a phone was nothing. The metric names wrapped one word per line and ran under the Score column, in the header and in every row. The table now keeps a minimum width of its own and scrolls sideways inside its frame when the screen is narrower than that, so every label stays in its own column. Wide layouts are unchanged, and no value in the table moved.

Methodology • version 1.14 decides the group figure's breadth question
The methodology document moves to version 1.14, in all four languages together. Section 6.7 records the alternatives considered for the group comparison figure and why each was declined, and since version 1.12 it has told the reader that one of them, a condition on how evenly the responses behind a group figure are spread across its members, remained open. It has now been decided, separately and on its own measured ground, and the document says so: no such condition applies to the group figure, neither as a requirement for publication nor as a trigger for review. The reason is stated rather than asserted. Breadth in a curated group is chosen by whoever curates it rather than being a property a statistic should certify, and at the sizes groups are actually curated at, a requirement set near the one the market figure carries would in practice demand that every member contribute almost exactly the same number of responses. That is a test of evenness rather than of concentration, and it would withhold every group figure published today. Breadth is still computed and remains available for review. It simply does not decide whether a figure is published. The separate decision on a floor for the number of responses behind a group figure is untouched, keeps its own reasoning and its own review schedule, and neither decision is evidence about the other. No rule, threshold, value or calculation changes with this update, and no figure published today becomes withheld, nor any withheld figure published.

Methodology • version 1.13 numbers its contents page and settles its source address
The methodology document moves to version 1.13, in all four languages together. The contents page of the exported PDF now cites the page on which each chapter and section begins. The numbers are read back from the rendered document rather than typed in, so they cannot drift from the layout. The page numbers themselves are not new: every page after the cover has carried its number since the platform export began, but section 7.5 said pages were not numbered, and it now says what is so. With that, 7.5 moves from approved to implemented, the one status change the document's own versioning rule requires a new version for, and its description of what rendering depends on is narrowed to the document plus the locked rendering environment, whose engine build and font packages are pinned and recorded. The cover's Source line now always reads the customer portal's address, https://insight.srvy.app/methodology/document, whichever surface the export was requested from, so a file handed on to someone else names where the current copy lives. No figure, condition, threshold or calculation changes with this update.
